Home Safety Hotline: Seasonal Worker is now out! In this DLC, you play as a seasonal employee named Rebecca, working from December 21 to 25. Your task is to keep callers’ Christmas cheer up by handling their problems, mundane or supernatural. Otherwise, the encroaching Twilight will doom everyone. If you’d like to use our guide for the main game, you can find it here.

This guide will help you find the right answer for each caller so you can keep things merry and bright. Survive through the week and you’ll get to attend the office Christmas party! Let’s start with Day 1.

Day 1: December 22

The first day has 6 callers.

Gerald – Pine Sprites

Our first caller is Gerald, who’s trying to get his Christmas tree up, but his lights keep flickering off. Gerald has Pine Sprites living in his Christmas tree.

Janet – Mice

Janet is screaming “EEEK!” directly into your ear… ouch. Her screaming may remind you of the stereotypical lady standing on a chair hiding from a mouse on the floor. This and the squeaking noises in the background are hints that Janet is dealing with mice.

Robin – Snow Golem

Robin mentions big, tall mounds outside, but the real clue is that there was something wet in her living room. What does snow do in warm places? It melts. Robin is dealing with a Snow Golem.

Chester – Forgotten Boggart

The thing that points to Chester’s monster being a Forgotten Boggart is the way he seems so obsessive about finding evidence that it exists.

Carl – Sugar Wisps

Carl sounds like me when I wake up in the morning. He’s “weak” and “needs more”, which reminds you of someone malnourished. Sugar Wisps make their victims only crave sugar.

Toni – Mice

Two cases of mice in one day? Seems farfetched. But mice poop in little round pellets and make scratching noises at night.

Day 2: December 23

The second day has 8 callers.

Christine – Elves

Christine caught something dreadful at her last hosted function, and for this party she’s got 20 additional family members! Elves can lower humans’ immune response, and they love coming to large parties posing as a forgotten friend or family member, so that’s the answer here.

Charlie – Time Wisps

Charlie is freaking out with regrets over how his life has gone, and he is hallucinating that he is dead. Time Wisps cause these exact symptoms.

Angela – The Mare

Angela hears what sounds like a dying animal screaming in her yard, but it’s actually a Mare. This is the only entry that mentions screaming. Also, if you play the audio files for the call and the entry it sounds the same.

Holly – False Carolers

The things stalking Holly are definitely not cats. She mentions finding feathers on her porch, and False Carolers have feathers and steal neighbors. That might be why Betty hasn’t shown up to the PTA meeting.

Ronda – Lussi

The thick slime residue on Ronda’s air vents indicates that she’s dealing with a Lussi.

Kim – Avalanche

You know what, if you think there’s an avalanche, there probably is one. It’s an avalanche.

Sam – Red Nose

Hopefully Sam is ready to raise money for children living in poverty, because he’s having his very own Red Nose day. Sam caught it from his neighbor’s dog, since it can spread from animals to humans. At least it goes away eventually?

Steven – Troll

There’s a TROLL!!! In Steven’s house!!! …thought you ought to know. The hints that give it away are the squeaky shoes and his Santa suit, an article of clothing, going missing.

Day 3: December 24

The third day has 10 callers.

Whittaker – The Locomotive

Whittaker calls his neighbors godless. The Locomotive’s entry states that children with faith will be returned, but the neighbors have the police over and they’re crying. Also, the whole house was shaking.

Nick – Yulemen

Yulemen cackle and steal food. If you listen carefully, you can hear them cackling in the background of Nick’s call.

Ray – Yule Goat

Ray is having some sort of hallucinations, as he’s picturing things everywhere. However, the real clue is him calling it a demon. Goats are known for their association with demons since they both have horns.

Kathy – Avalanche

Kathy says everything is shaking, and the background noises are identical to those in the avalanche entry.

Dorothy – Belsnickel

Dorothy is finding pine needles and scratches all over her floor, and her dog is freaking out. This indicates that she’s dealing with a Belsnickel.

Laura – Hans

Laura’s husband is acting odd, and she’s seen Satanic symbols and a scarecrow appearing in her house. Hans looks somewhat like a scarecrow since he’s made of cloth, rags and straw. He also affects peoples’ behavior and makes weird symbols.

Denise – Cloch

Denise thinks people are hauling giant rocks around outside her house, but really, it’s a Cloch.

Georgia – Animation

This one tripped me up for a while. However, the important clues are that Postman Peter is a gingerbread man, and that Georgia thought someone was stealing from her.

Wade – The Mouse King

You’ve been getting calls about the Mouse King all day at this point, and Hudson says it may be wearing a disguise. The Mouse King is wearing a trenchcoat, and using paper to communicate. It’s also agitating the cat.

Porter – The Gift Hag

The old lady leaving presents is not Porter’s mother-in-law, unless she’s a Gift Hag. The Gift Hag leaves dolls as presents and has shriveled up arms.

Day 4: December 25

The fourth day has 15 callers. On this day, you’ll have network errors that take away your ability to read the entries.

Debra – Common Hobb

Debra’s hooligan is actually a common hobb. It came out at night and drank the milk to clean it up.

Dale – The Twilight

Northern lights in Texas? Nope, that’s the Twilight encroaching.

Stella – Ogress

This one was tricky, but the key words are “coming from the mountain” and “they”. Yulemen often work for Ogresses, and ogresses live in high elevations. She tried to get rid of the Yulemen, and now the Ogress is shaking her house.

Shepp – Yule Cat

Shepp saw someone darting through her neighborhood in the nude, and she’s very offended! This is because a Yule Cat ate their clothes.

Geoffrey – The Hunt

Geoffrey’s mom is caught in a storm and she’s in pain. The Hunt is a storm-like fungal weather phenomenon, and its spores can be harmful to humans.

Theodore – Mountain Warlock

You may think this is another avalanche, but if you listen closely you can hear chanting in the background. Bro is getting cursed by Saruman.

Rod – The Twilight

Is this Rod Serling, because he’s clearly in the Twilight zone!

Joseph – The Saint

The Saint was the one who left the weird orb on Joseph’s porch. Luckily, he threw it out.

Beverly – Antler Growths

The drunk man who is biting people looks like he’s wearing a “stupid little reindeer headpiece”. This is your hint that he has antler growths.

Woodrow – Wight

The storm Woodrow sheltered from last night was likely The Hunt, so the coughing people he’s hearing are likely wights created by The Hunt.

Dennis – Perchta

Something has happened to Dennis’s husband, something with blood and straw. A Perchta has made him into a scarecrow.

William – The Twilight

William is seeing lights that make him feel empty. The Twilight is what’s affecting him.

Mariah – The Sinner

Someone carrying chains took Mariah’s baby. This is the Sinner, who breaks into homes and eats children. It is accompanied by the sound of chains.

Becky – Dwarves

Becky’s house is heating up, and dwarves make the homes they infest hotter.

Jana – The Twilight

Jana is yet another person who mentions lights. This is another case of the Twilight.

Day 5: Christmas Party

Once you’ve completed all calls, enjoy the Christmas party! You made it!
