Yukiko Amagi: The Priestess

Yukiko, who you’ll meet on your first day of school, represents the Priestess arcana in Persona 4.

Yukiko is the introverted and demure heir to the Amagi family, who runs a historic inn in Inaba. She is best friends with Chie and develops strong bonds with the rest of the party during the story. Yukiko has many admirers in town but is famous for rejecting boys’ advances; people tend to see a beautiful girl from a prominent family and not Yukiko herself. If you get to know her, you’ll find out that she wants to break free from her family’s tradition and choose her own career path. You’ll also get to see her rather… interesting sense of humor. Can she gain the skills to be independent? Help her out in her social link!

Tips

You’ll establish your social link with Yukiko Amagi on May 17. Yukiko is typically available to hang out on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and some Sundays. She’s not available on rainy days, though. You’ll usually see her on the first floor of the classroom building at school during the week, and on the weekends, she can be found in the south end of the shopping district.

Like Chie, Yukiko has a romance route that can be activated towards the end of her social link. Only romance one girl unless you want to break their hearts! To rank up faster, bring a Priestess persona when you hang out with Yukiko, and level up your courage quickly to unlock more dialogue options.

• When Yukiko says, “Sensei recommended this book to me because it has details on a bunch of different job licenses…”, respond with ““Going to apply for one?” for +3 friendship.
• When she says, “I was thinking something along the lines of an interior decorator… what do you think?”, answer with “Sounds good.” for +3 friendship.

Rank 3

• For “Even eggs come in so many varieties…”, answer with “Making dinner at the inn?” for +3 friendship.
• When she says, “So I’m going to get some practice while I can!”, tell her “Good luck.” for +3 friendship.
• When Yukiko asks “W-will… you?”, you can answer with “Count me in!” for +3 friendship if you have level 4 courage, or “I don’t mind.” for +2 friendship if you don’t.

Rank 4

• When it says, “For some reason, an unusually pungent smell hangs in the air.”, choose “Let’s eat!” if you have level 3 courage for extra friendship points. If your courage isn’t high enough, pick one of the other options.
• For “Yukiko looks sad…”, respond with “There’s always next time.” for +3 friendship.
• When Yukiko says “Umm… I’m sorry to drag you around…”, answer with “I’m having fun.” for +3 friendship.
• Once you reach rank 4, Yukiko learns Divine Grace, which boosts the power of her healing spells.

• When Yukiko says “Then the furniture department. I want to look at the desk. Those and the lamps…”, ask her “What’s all this for?” for +3 friendship.
• When she says “Those people are from some TV station. They wanted to cover the Amagi Inn.”, pick any answer.
• For “…I’d feel better about leaving.”, choose any answer.

• When Yukiko says, “I wrote down everything I need, so this shouldn’t take that long.”, ask her “Gotten any better yet?” for +2 friendship.
• When she says, “But it’s not turning out quite like it does in the book, even though I’m following the directions.”, tell her to “Keep practicing.” for +3 friendship.
• When Yukiko asks, “Are they that worried about my cooking…?”, say “They care for you.” for +3 friendship.
• When you reach rank 6, Yukiko learns the Amrita skill, which cures all non-special status ailments for the entire party.

• When Yukiko says “Once I leave this town… I won’t be able to come here again, will I…?”, respond with any answer.
• When she says “They all have the wrong idea… I’m really sorry…”, comfort her with “It’s okay.” for +3 friendship.

Rank 8

• When Yukiko says, “I’m sorry, I have to go.”, choose any answer.
• When she asks “W-was I scary?”, tell her “You were cool.” for +3 friendship.
• Yukiko will learn the Mudoon ability this rank, which has a medium chance to instantly kill its target.

Rank 9

• When Yukiko asks, “Are you going to wish for something?”, answer with “For everyone…” or “For you…” for +3 friendship.
• When Yukiko says, “I-is it okay… for me to ask…?”, telling her “I really like you.” will put you on her romance route. Answering with “You’re my classmate” or “You’re my friend.” will put you on her friendship route.

Rank 10

• There are two versions of this conversation depending on whether you chose romance or friendship in the last conversation. For this one, choose any answers you like, all give equal friendship.
• Completing Yukiko’s social link will make her Konohana Sakuya persona transform into Amaterasu. You’ll unlock the Shrine Charm, which lets you fuse Scathach, and also unlock a special outfit for Yukiko, the Ceremonial Kimono, which you can buy from Croco Fur in Okina City for 49800 yen.
