Teddie: The Star

Lovable, charming Teddie represents the Star arcana in Persona 4.

Teddie has lived in the TV world for as long as he can remember. He is unsure of what he really is or where he came from, but he quickly develops a sense of loyalty to the Investigation Team, and eventually he comes out of the TV world to live in the real world with a human body. Through Teddie’s social link, you’ll help him learn to bear the weight of his questions and help him stay paws-itive in the face of uncertainty.

Tips

Teddie’s social link is unlike the others, because it doesn’t require you to use up specific time slots to rank up. On certain days and after certain events, this social link will rank up automatically, so just play through the story and you should be golden! Below is a list of Teddie’s rank ups and their dates.

Teddie Rank-Up Dates

• Rank 1 – Occurs on 6/24.
• Rank 2 – Clear Rise’s dungeon, the Marukyu Striptease. This unlocks Auto-Rakukaja, which automatically raises Teddie’s defense at the start of battle.
• Rank 3 – Occurs on 7/26.
• Rank 4 – Clear the Void Quest dungeon. This unlocks the Recarm ability, which revives an ally that has fainted.
• Rank 5 – Occurs on 9/8.
• Rank 6 – Occurs on 10/7. This unlocks the Marakunda ability, which decreases all enemies’ defense.
• Rank 7 – Occurs on 10/11.
• Rank 8 – Occurs on 10/30. This unlocks the Samarecarm ability, which revives and fully heals an ally.
• Rank 9 – Clear the Heaven dungeon.
• Rank 10 – If you’re on the normal or true ending routes, occurs on 12/5. Teddie will learn Evade Electric, tripling his evasion rate against electric attacks, and you’ll be able to fuse Helel. Teddie’s persona will also transform into Kamui.
