Fire, Fire, Burning Bright

Making a fire wizard in Wizard101 is a great decision if you like dealing tons of damage while also having decent survivability. Fire wizards, also known as pyromancers, are known for their potent DOT spells, which deal damage over time and hit enemies for several turns in a row.

However, they also have some useful utility spells, such as Steal Charm, which allows you to steal blades from your opponent, and Choke, which lets you stun the entire enemy team for one round.

The fire school even has some self-healing in its kit, with spells like Link and Power Link, which damage enemies and heal you a little for several rounds at the same time!

You’ll start your journey as a pyromancer with Professor Dalia Falmea in Ravenwood’s fire classroom, but there are some other trainers who teach individual fire spells, and later on in the story, you’ll meet Ignus Ferric, the Arcanum’s fire scholar. In the game’s lore, fire magic comes from the essence of primordial dragons. The official colors are red and orange, while the official gemstone is the ruby.

Whether you want to fight monsters or reach the top of the ladder in PvP, fire is a great school to choose. This guide outlines all the spells the school has to offer and tells you where to get them if you’re missing any.

Here’s where to find the spellements for the Arc 2 spells:

  • Fire Dragon: Bring 2 friends and open Cantrip Ritual chests in Celestia, or farm the bosses in the Trial of the Spheres (use the Scales of Knowledge if you’re above level 60).
  • Efreet: Look for Cantrip Ritual chests in Zafaria or farm the bosses in Mirror Lake (use the Scales of Knowledge if you’re over level 70).
  • Rain of Fire: Farm the Keep of Ganelon bosses in Avalon (use the Scales of Knowledge if you’re over level 80), or use Cantrip Ritual chests.
  • Sun Serpent: Farm Xibalba in Azteca (use the Scales of Knowledge if you’re over level 90), or use Cantrip Ritual chests.
  • King Artorius: Morganthe drops these spellements (use the Scales of Knowledge if you’re over level 100), or find Cantrip Ritual chests around Khrysalis.
Hephaestus is probably the best of the crafted spells in my opinion, because it gives you a bubble and because it looks really cool.

The recipe for this spell can be bought from Master Yan Kan Kook inside Mooshu’s Shirataki Temple dungeon for 60,000 gold. You’ll have to basically do the entire dungeon to reach him. Here’s what you’ll need to craft this spell as a permanent card:

Drops from Lady Stonegaze in the Garden of Hesperides in Aquila. Can also be obtained from the Immortal’s Spellemental Pack and Deluxe Spellement Pack.

Krampus

Drops from the Krampus boss in various worlds during Yuletide. You can also get them from various Christmas-themed packs in the Crown Shop during the holiday season.

Wizards past a certain point in Khrysalis will gain the ability to use shadow pips, unlocking shadow-enhanced spells. Raging Bull is learned near the end of Polaris, and it makes you feel really powerful when you get it and use it!
