Kaveh: The Light of Ksharewar

Genshin Impact‘s hangout events have gameplay that’s reminiscent of a dating sim, or a choose-your-own-adventure book. Kaveh’s hangout event has five different routes for you to try, including helping him with a difficult client, or finding out more about his mother. To unlock Kaveh’s hangout event, you must first beat the Sumeru archon quest and finish Alhaitham’s story quest, and also have reached adventure rank 40. For this guide, important choices that have an effect on what ending you get are marked in orange.

Kaveh is a 4-star Dendro character from Sumeru who wields a claymore in battle. He is a brilliant architect known for building the Palace of Alcazarzaray and the lighthouse of Port Ormos; his classmates gave him the title “Light of Ksharewar” for his intellectual leadership and adamant defense of the arts. Kaveh is truly passionate about his work, creating buildings with beautiful aesthetics that don’t sacrifice practicality.

Unfortunately, the sense of balance of Kaveh’s designs does not extend to his personal life. Crushing debt, looming deadlines, a burgeoning guilt complex, and being so broke he had to move in with his rival, Alhaitham… will Kaveh’s troubles ever end? And how did he even end up in such a miserable situation? Find out in this hangout event!

Ending 1: Blueprint for the Future

Here are the choices to make to get this ending.

Tavern Heart-to-Heart

After the argument, where Kaveh loses 3 of his hearts, follow Kaveh to Lambad’s Tavern.
“I saw you arguing with someone just now…”
“Something that embodies the creator’s efforts and dedication?” (This option will give Kaveh +1 heart)
“I’ll help you convince the client to come to your side.”
“I don’t think he was intentionally trying to be difficult.”

Searching for the Commissioner

Find Badawi in Port Ormos.
“Why do I feel like he’s hiding something?”

Concealed Circumstances

Follow Badawi and talk to him again.
“Why didn’t you just tell us that from the start?”
“Can we try a slightly different style?” (This option adds +2 hearts to Kaveh’s mood)

Field Study

Go to the trade route area and fight the enemies.
“Doesn’t that also sound like you, Kaveh?”
“I’ll help you when the time comes.” (This option will give Kaveh +1 heart)

Ending 2: A Done Deal

Here is how you can reach this ending.

Tavern Heart-to-Heart

After the argument, where Kaveh loses 3 of his hearts, follow Kaveh to Lambad’s Tavern.

“If you can convince even him to see your point of view…”

Searching for the Commissioner

Find Badawi in Port Ormos.
“Should we follow him and see if anything unusual comes up?”

Concealed Circumstances

Follow Badawi and talk to him again.
“Why did you feel like you needed to lie?”
“Would any other merchants be willing to sponsor the project?”

Attempted Persuasion

Talk to Dori. After a conversation (during which Kaveh will gain +1 heart), she will bring three merchants to talk with you.
“You can get Kaveh’s client to advertise your businesses in the desert.”
“You don’t seem to think about your questions very thoroughly before speaking.”

A Merchant Most Famous

Talk to Dori again, and then follow her.
“You seem rather pleased.” (This option gives Kaveh +1 heart)

Select these options to reach this ending.

After the argument, where Kaveh loses -3 hearts, follow Kaveh to Lambad’s Tavern.

A Dear Memento

Go home with Kaveh.
“Why do you say that?”
“Your name?”
“We can try asking some of her old acquaintances…” (This option will give Kaveh +1 heart)
“Who is that?” (Kaveh gains another +1 heart from this option)

The Missive Locked Away

Talk to Tighnari to find out where Professor Zaha Hadi lives, then head over. You can also optionally knock on the door of Cyrus, Cyno’s adoptive father.
“”Understanding”?”
“It’s normal for friends to take care of each other.”
“It’s always fun to have you around, Kaveh.” (This option gives Kaveh +1 heart)

Companionship, the Sole Antidote

Meet with Tighnari and Cyno at Pardis Dhyai.
“But don’t you love your job, Kaveh?” (Kaveh will gain +1 heart)
Enjoy your dinner with friends.

Ending 4: Beneath the Stars

Here are the options to reach this ending.

After the argument, where Kaveh loses -3 hearts, follow Kaveh to Lambad’s Tavern.

A Dear Memento

Go home with Kaveh.
“You don’t sound as confident as you used to be.”

“Then maybe we should just put it aside for now.”

The Temple of Wisdom

Take a walk with Kaveh around the House of Daena.
“You sound like you almost miss it.” (Kaveh’s mood will go up by +1)
Alhaitham shows up. During the conversation, Kaveh gains +1 heart.
“Well, want to continue the story?”
“I don’t really get it…”
Before you leave the library, read the three books that Kaveh pulled out to earn the “School Days” achievement.

Successes and Regrets

Go to Port Ormos with Kaveh.
“I think it’s pretty cool.” (Kaveh really appreciates your compliment, he gains +2 hearts)

Desert Sanctum

Go to the Dune of Magma.
Clear out the enemies.
Talk to Kaveh.
“You also haven’t completely lost your passion for life.” (This option will give Kaveh +1 heart)
Completing this ending will give you the “An Architect’s Romanticism” achievement.

Ending 5: First Class

Make these selections to get this ending.

Tavern Heart-to-Heart

After the argument, where Kaveh loses 3 hearts, follow Kaveh to Lambad’s Tavern.
“I followed you here.”
“Something that embodies the creator’s efforts and dedication?” (Kaveh gains +1 heart)
“Let’s do something else and clear your mind.”
“How about looking into another career?”

Educational Organization

Go to Port Ormos to find Kaveh’s old classmate, Alkami.
“At least you won’t have to deal with clients anymore.” (+1 heart for Kaveh)
Wait until 7:00 the next morning, then go to the lecture. Read over the teaching materials.
Talk to Adan, Aabid, and Adil to learn more about Alkami, then go check on Kaveh’s class.
After seeing how Kaveh’s class went, talk to Alkami. During the conversation, Kaveh will lose 2 hearts.
“What do you plan to do next?”
“You’ll give up the mora?” (Poor Kaveh will lose yet another heart)
“Not everyone should be able to pay such exorbitant tuition fees.”
Talk to Kaveh’s students for information on how they’re paying their tuition.

Arrested Development

Talk to Fahkr.
“That’s right.”
“We mean to put you in jail for your crimes.”
Fight the Eremites, and Kaveh will get +1 heart back from taking out his frustration.
Take Fakhr to Cyno to have him arrested, and Kaveh will get +1 heart back.
“It’s good to stay true to yourself.”

The Best Building

Wait until 8:00 the next morning.
Talk to the students, and Kaveh will gain another heart.
Go to the art class with Kaveh, and he’ll gain +1 heart from painting with his students.
