Barbara: Mondstadt’s Beloved Idol

Genshin Impact‘s hangout events let you befriend characters from every nation in the game; they work like a choose-your-own-adventure novel with several possible endings. To unlock Barbara’s hangout event and complete all five endings, you will need to complete the Mondstadt archon quest and reach adventure rank 26. Route-defining choices will be printed in orange so you can find them quickly.

Barbara Pegg is a 4-star Hydro character from Mondstadt who wields a catalyst in battle. She is the deaconess of the Church of Favonius, as well as the younger sister of Jean, the Acting Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius. Barbara is also a pop idol, and she has many fans in Mondstadt. However, Barbara is introverted and struggles with her fame, because she finds it hard to tell people no when she thinks they need her.

Can you help keep a smile on Barbara’s face as she goes about her daily duties and keep her fans from swarming her? It all depends on your choices in this hangout event!

Talk to Sister Victoria, then go find Barbara at Wolvendom.

Quest: Sudden Shouting

Go talk to Albert.
“Oh, so you picked all the berries …”
“Barbara isn’t here anymore, you’d better head back to the city.”
“There might be some other areas where Wolfhooks grow that you haven’t heard about, perhaps Barbara went somewhere else?”
“There are all sorts of monsters in Wolvendom, and not to mention wolves… That must be what you heard.”
“Help” Albert with his search.
“BARBARA—ARE YOU THERE!!!???”

Pick the following dialogue to get this ending.

Talk to Sister Victoria at the Cathedral.
Find Barbara in Wolvendom.
“Just wait here, we’ll go send that person away.”

Quest: Sudden Shouting

Speak to Albert.
“Hold on, what’s the Barbara Fan Club?”
“Wolvendom is a large area, it would be difficult for you to cover it alone. You should find some others to help you search first.”
“I think you’ve already searched most of the areas where red Wolfhooks grow.”
“But do you still hear her now? Barbara-sama may have already left the area a while ago.” Choosing these three options will make Albert leave.

Quest: Cleanliness First

Quest: Temporary Relief From The Fanfare

Ditch Albert in the woods.
“Wouldn’t your family worry about you picking herbs all alone?”
(Look at Barbara with an innocent gaze.)
“We can go look together.”

Quest: Of Wolfhooks Red

Find five red Wolfhooks and give them to Barbara. They will be inside tree stumps.

“Leave it to us.”

Quest: Cleanliness First

Clean the cathedral using Anemo or Hydro abilities.

Find 3 Small Lamp Grass.

Sneak away from Albert.
