Finding Flowers for the Royal Museum

Eloise Merryweather has been present in the game since October 2009, standing near Prospector Zeke in each world and offering stitching services so players can customize the cosmetics of their gear. However, perhaps this got boring over time. With the release of Azteca in November 2012, Eloise began offering quests of her own, asking players to help her find flowers for various Marleybone Royal Museum exhibits. In these quests, players earn training points, and also learn some interesting details about her and Prospector Zeke’s relationship (and its increasing troubles) along the way. This guide will help you find all of the flowers and hear all of the tea. Let’s get started with Azteca!

Azteca: Flower To The People

  • Flowers to collect: 5
  • Rewards: 38,925 gold, 705 experience, 2 Clockwork Flower seeds, and 2 Moonflower seeds.
  • Eloise mentions that you haven’t really talked much before, because she’s always busy following Zeke around, and you’re always busy saving people from curses. Nevertheless, she is happy to see you.

Khrysalis: Another Exotic Exhibit

  • Flowers to collect: 7
  • Rewards: 910 gold, 75270 experience, and 1 training point
  • Eloise is surprised to learn from the wizard that Khrysalis is extremely dangerous, and the wizard tells her it’s best that she stays in a safe area. So she commissions the wizard to find Khrysanthemums for her next Royal Museum exhibit.

Polaris: Plotting Out Polar Roses

  • Flowers to collect: 7
  • Rewards: 1360 gold, 234,880 experience, 1 training point, and the Polarian Rose Picker Badge
  • Eloise congratulates you on your graduation from Ravenwood, and mentions that she is too cold here to leave the city of Walruskberg, so she asks you to find Polar Roses around Polaris for a third museum exhibit. When you bring them all back, she shares this interesting tidbit: Prospector Zeke initially vehemently disagreed with Eloise over whether or not the wizard would make it. Eloise always believed in the wizard, but Zeke didn’t come around until later. Hmm…

Mirage: Cactus Blossom Boogie

  • Flowers to collect: 5
  • Rewards: 5500 gold, 1 training point, 2 Cactus Fruit pet snacks, and the Cactus Blossom Enthusiast badge
  • Eloise has been sent to Mirage by the Royal Museum for her fourth exhibit. Unfortunately, they want her to pick cactus blossoms, and she’s not very fond of cacti or their sharp spines, so she asks the wizard to help her find the Cactus Blossoms and spare her the pain.

Empyrea: Turn That Crown Upside-Down

  • Flowers to collect: 6
  • Rewards: 5000 gold, 1 training point, the Crown Sourcer badge, and 2 Key Lime Pie pet snacks
  • Much like your own expedition, Eloise and Zeke have been stranded in Empyrea’s Aeriel Island. This time, she was looking for her own flowers, and heard from the locals a tale of the Crown Empyreal, a blossom that glows like fire. Once you bring them back to her, she comments that all of the flowers smell like the places you gathered them from… including one that smells like squid, which is going to be placed in the back!

Karamelle: Pucker Up, Peanut Buttercup

  • Flowers to collect: 11
  • Rewards: 25,550 gold, 1 training point, and the Darn Skippy badge
  • Eloise makes an interesting slip here: “Of all the places Zeke has dragged me- um, I mean the Royal Museum has sent me…”. She also mentions that she is excited to finally be in a place that isn’t a warzone, and when you finally bring her the flowers, she mentions wistfully that she wishes Zeke would bring her flowers. Perhaps not everything is rosy with this couple…

Lemuria: Night Flight in the Light

  • LED Zeppelins to collect: 8
  • Rewards: 20,000 gold, 1 training point, and 1 spellement for each of the Lemuria spells
  • In Lemuria, it is not Eloise that you encounter, but her doppleganger created by the Old One, Louise Mayqueen. She freaks out upon seeing you, since she’s never met another human being other than her husband, Preservationist Zach. It is interesting that Louise and Zach seem to have switched roles from their counterparts. It reminds me of “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush; perhaps we’ll have to find Kate Bushes in the future? Louise is an inventor, and her prototype blimps have escaped her lab and dispersed across Lemuria. Find her LED Zeppelins and she will consider you a friend.

Novus: A Ribbit By Any Other Name

  • Flowers to collect: 6
  • Rewards: 600 gold, 1 gold skeleton key, the Toad Runner badge, and 2 spellements for your school’s Novus spell
  • Eloise hasn’t seen you since Karamelle, and she was thinking of taking some time off from traveling, but fate (Prospector Zeke?) had other plans. Notice that in this world, they are far apart from each other. So since she’s here, she asks you to collect Toadflax for a new Royal Museum exhibit. Once you bring all of the flowers back, she mentions how appreciative of you that she is, and how grateful she is to have a friend who actually listens to her and cares about her passions… Does Zeke not do that? Are they fighting?

Wallaru: Wattle You Talkin’ About

  • Flowers to collect: 7
  • Rewards: 650 gold, 1 gold skeleton key, the Golden Wanderer badge, and 3 spellements for your school’s Wallaru spell
  • Here, Eloise doesn’t mention much other than her relief to not be in such a dangerous place again. She thanks the wizard as usual for their help. However, Zeke is the one who drops interesting information in his quest. He’s helping a friend who got dumped at the altar. Hopefully he and Eloise are ok now? They’re standing near each other again.

Now, what do you think is next for Eloise? What flowers will be presented in the Royal Museum next? And are her issues with Zeke resolved? Discuss in the comments!
