Search For the Krokonomicon

Upon finishing the main questline of Wizard City, Headmaster Ambrose gives you permission to use Bartleby’s World Door and enter Krokotopia in pursuit of the Krokonomicon, a powerful tome of forbidden magic that can bring people back from the dead. You need to hunt it down before Malistaire does, because who knows what he would do with that kind of power?

A secondary goal for this world is to find the Order of the Fang, a secret organization of Krok wizards. Unfortunately, a Marleybonian archaeology team has accidentally reawakened some of the Kroks with their excavations. The Kroks once were the ruling class of Krokotopia and enslaved the Manders, but the Order of the Fang put them to sleep with the Krokonomicon. Now you must help them defeat the awakened Kroks and protect the Manders’ freedom.

Krokotopia is also home to the Balance school, and Balance wizards can continue their studies with Alhazred, member of the Order of the Fang and the creator of Balance magic himself.

There are 65 quests in Krokotopia, with a stronger focus on boss battles than Wizard City had. You will fight 36 bosses and fight 13 mob battles, with 7 of those being for a defeat and collect quest. You will also quest in your first instances in the main storyline. Instances are self-contained dungeons that have their own quests in them, and if you log out, you’ll have to start from the beginning, so make sure you can finish the instance in one sitting!
