How to Open All 10 Shrines of Depths in Sumeru
Many ancient ruins are scattered throughout Teyvat, but only some hold great treasures, while others have been ransacked and left barren. Shrines of Depths are ancient structures left behind by an unknown civilization that still contain valuable treasure: Luxurious Chests.
For each of these shrines, you’ll get 40 Primogems, and there are more bundled in with achievements, so they are worthwhile to hunt down.
Sumeru’s vivid rainforests and vast deserts have 10 shrines for you to plunder; you will need a Shrine of Depths Key for each one. You will also get these achievements:
- Sanctuary Pilgrim: Sumeru Boscage – Open all rainforest shrines.
- Sanctuary Pilgrim: Dune Dreams (I) – Open all shrines in the pyramid area of the desert.
- Sanctuary Pilgrim: Dune Dreams (II) – Open all shrines in the Desert of Hadramaveth.
- Sanctuary Pilgrim: Blessed Hamada – Open all shrines near the Vourukasha Oasis.
Where to Find Shrine of Depths Keys for Sumeru
Six of your shrine keys will be obtained by finding Dendroculi and leveling your Sumeru Statue of the Seven to levels 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10. Your other four keys can be obtained by leveling the Tree of Dreams with Dendro Sigils from chests to levels 8, 18, 28, and 38.
To unlock the Tree of Dreams, you’ll have to get quite a bit into the Aranyaka questline (finish Aranyaka Part I and Part II) and open the Vanarana map. If you don’t know where to start the Aranyaka questline, follow the road west of Gandharva Ville and you should find a forest watcher named Rana fighting some fungi. Help her out, and the quest will begin.

This one is a little tricky to get to since it’s underground and requires some serious side-questing in the Hypostyle Desert region. You’ll have to unlock Jeht’s series of side quests, Golden Slumber, which can be started in Aaru Village by talking to Bonifaz. This will lead you to eventually unlock the lower levels of the Mausoleum of King Deshret.
Once you reach the Sekhem Hall area, from the waypoint on the south side, head south down the tunnel. Go to the right edge of the cliff and look down and to the right back wall. You should see the shrine on a lower level.

Fast travel to the point north of the Sands of Three Canals, and go south, then east, climbing up the cliffside to reach this shrine at the tip.
Shrine #9: Near Wounded Shin Valley
From the surface-level waypoint on the east of Wounded Shin Valley, you should be able to see the shrine on top of the cliffs on the west side of the valley. Glide across and climb to the top to reach it.
Shrine #10: Near Asipattravana Swamp
Teleport to the waypoint west of the Asipattravana Swamp. Next, turn to the south and you should see a hilichurl camp. Climb the stairs nearby and you should see the shrine on the upper level of the cliff, overlooking the Harvisptokhm tree.
