Diona: The Bartender Who Hates Alcohol

Genshin Impact‘s hangout events allow you to spend a fun day with your characters, like a visual novel with routes that change based on your choices. To unlock Diona’s hangout event, you will need to complete Mondstadt’s archon quest and reach adventure rank 26. In this guide, the orange choices are those that will affect which route you end up on.

Diona is a 4-star Cryo character from Mondstadt who wields a bow in battle. She is the young bartender of the Cat’s Tail, and she is determined to destroy the wine industry from the inside. Diona’s grudge against alcohol started at home. Her father Draff becomes a complete mess when he’s drunk and neglects her. Little Diona confided her problems to the spring fairy, who lived in the pool at the center of Springvale, and so the fairy gave Diona a blessing for her seventh birthday. Every drink she made would taste delicious, no matter what was in it or how it was made. Diona is unaware that she is fairy-blessed, so she tries harder and harder every day to make the most disgusting drinks possible… which still come out tasting wonderful anyway.

Diona is proud of her Katzlein bloodline and the impeccable hunting, climbing, and stealth skills it gives her. She is feisty and standoffish on the surface, but deep down Diona is just a kid who really wants some genuine companionship. Will you be able to grant her wish and help her out with her mission to take down the wine industry? It all depends on your choices in this hangout event!

“Alright, I’ll leave him to you.”
“No one would know about these cats if it weren’t for your specialty drinks.”

When the Cats Come Home

“But, everyone seems to really like the drinks you make…”
For finishing this ending, you’ll get the “Kitten Queen” achievement.

Ending 3: Diona’s Special

Pick the following dialogue to reach this ending.

“A non-alcoholic beverage would be fine as well.”
“I’d like the base to be more unique…”

A Special Base Drink

“You want to make a drink… from that?”
“I’ll avoid the monsters as well.”

The Shadow Over Dadaupa

Sneak past the monsters and join Diona at each checkpoint. If you’re having a hard time, you can go back and choose to fight the monsters head-on to get ending 4. Once you complete the stealth mission ending, however, you’ll get the “But There’s a Catch…” achievement, so give it a try!

Dead-Drunk Draff

“Draff said he had just found some, let’s ask him.”
(Could those ingredients really make something that good?)
“Diona already used the soup to sober you up.”

Ending 4: “I… Only Had… a Little…”

A Special Base Drink

Samachurl Herbal Soup

Observe the pots until you find the right one, defeating monsters along the way. Sample it and bring it back to Diona.

A Sobering Affair

Ending 5: The Ultimate Special

Select the following dialogue to get this event ending.

Special Cocktailing Condiments

“These look more like alchemy ingredients…”
Collect 3 fresh fish.
“Uh, I’m going to go stand as far as possible from this stuff.”

A Chance Encounter…?

Defeat 3 slimes to obtain the slime condensate.
“How do you usually make your drinks?”
(Is it me, or was that a rehearsed speech?)

Exchanging Pointers

(These two have been planning this all along.)
(Put the whole Lizard Tail directly into the Dandelion Wine.)
(Add all of the Slime Condensate into the drink.)
(Add all of the Butterfly Dust and Fish Scales to the drink.)
(Put the entire Lizard Tail into the drink.)
(Add large amounts of Slime Condensate, stir, and let settle…)
(Sprinkle a pinch of Butterfly Dust.)
(Add Fish Scales and mucus into the drink.)
