Beidou: Courageous Captain of the Crux

Genshin Impact‘s hangout events are a great way to learn more about your characters, like a dating sim with different routes based on your choices. To unlock Beidou’s hangout, you must first reach Adventure Rank 30 and complete the archon quest Omnipresence Over Mortals. The most important route-defining choices are marked in orange for this guide.

Beidou is a 4-star Electro character from Liyue who wields a claymore in battle. She is the infamous pirate captain of the Crux Fleet, and sits at the helm of the Alcor, the fleet’s flagship. Captain Beidou is perhaps most famous in Liyue for something she did before she even received her Electro vision: slaying Haishan, a sea monster that terrorized the coast off of Liyue Harbor. The people of Liyue see her as a hero and a role model, a Robin Hood and Superman all in one. However, the ruling Qixing of Liyue sees her differently. Beidou and the law are two lines that only cross occasionally, and she has had to pay more fines than the worth of the Alcor!

So how will you come to view the hero that slayed Haishan? A legend, a pirate, a savior, a friend? Get to know Beidou in this hangout event!

Ending 1: Photography Class for Two

Make the following choices to reach this ending.

A Special Guest

Go to the Alcor to find Beidou.
“All I wanted was to have a chat with the Electro Archon.”
“The crew seemed excited to see me. Thanks for helping me out back there.”
“Why would I? I’m actually quite interested in the life of a sailor.”
“Alright, Captain. Show me the ropes.”
Head over to where Juza is standing on the lower deck.
“What’s the other team? The Spear of the Crux?”
“The Shield of the Crux.”
“I thought I would be learning from you, Captain.”

Life on the High Seas

Go around the ship and talk to Yinxing, Huixing, and Xu Liushi, and learn about their jobs. Once you’ve finished talking to everyone, meet Beidou back on the deck for her pop quiz.
“It was a breeze. I’ve got everything down pat.”
“Underestimating danger.”
“To mark distances.”
“The presence of dark clouds and strong winds in opposite directions, plus white vortices in the clouds.”
“Why learn recreational activities?”
“Now you’re talking my language.”
Go to the upper deck for photography class.
“Hmm… I think the most suitable model is… Captain Beidou!”
“Trust your crew, Captain. You are the best candidate.”
“You can just strike an epic pose.”
“Perhaps you feel uncomfortable with so many people around?”
“We can go somewhere quieter.”
“I’ve heard there’s a fishing village near Wangshu Inn.”
“I once found some treasure there.”

The Nameless Fishing Village

Go to the fishing village and take a walk with Beidou.
“Maybe you’ve been gone too long.”
“You finally remembered what we’re here for.”
“However you prefer.”
Take a picture of Beidou, and then talk to her again.
“Not at all, it’s perfect.”
“Only if you promise to give it back.”

Ending 2: “Flirtatious”

Make these choices to reach this ending.

Life on the High Seas

The Nameless Fishing Village

Go to the fishing village and take a walk with Beidou.
“It’s probably because you were little at the time.”
“I thought you might not be in the mood.”
“Maybe go for something a little… flirtatious?”

Ending 3: Once Everything is Over

Here is how you can get this ending.

Go to the Alcor to find Beidou.
“All I wanted was to have a chat with the Electro Archon.”
“You are a wise leader.”
“Why would I? I’m actually quite interested in the life of a sailor.”
“Alright, Captain. Show me the ropes.”
Head over to where Juza is standing on the lower deck.
“What’s the other team? The Spear of the Crux?”
“The Spear of the Crux.”

Beneath the Surface

Go with Beidou to the small vessel that she’s prepared for your sailing training.
“Sure do, I can even sail and fire at the same time.”
You will need to complete a timed challenge where you sail a waverider on a course to collect 13 waverider coins. Dodge the whirlpools and fire at the hilichurls on their platforms to make this easier. The last four coins are up in the air, so it will prompt you to fly out of the ship and ride the wind currents to your destination. If you lose the challenge, you will lose a heart with Beidou, but if you make a perfect score you will gain a heart. Once you’re done, talk to Beidou to continue the quest.
Next, go meet up with Beidou in Liyue Harbor.
“Consultancy fees for running fast-track training courses for other crews?”
Go talk to Nei.
Follow Beidou to Wai’s Amateur Fishmongers, and talk to Wai.
Talk to Mr. Iron Abacus.
“That’s it? But where’s all our fish?”
“We’re not doing anything illegal here, are we?”
“Try and persuade Ningguang to give you a light sentence…”

A Strange Transaction

(Oh no. Should I distract him while Beidou retreats?)
“Wait a second. What’s going on?”
Go for a walk on the beach with Beidou.
“Do you mean… weapons?”
For completing this hangout route, you will unlock the Guyun Buyer’s Club achievement.

Ending 4: Sakura Blooms Upon Guili Fell

Select this dialogue to get this ending.

Go to a quiet spot to talk details with Beidou.

“Compared against a regular map, the topography of the area most closely resembles the Guili Plains.”

Guili Plains Treasure Hunt

Go to the location and fight the Treasure Hoarders that appear. Then, after a conversation, investigate the suspicious locations with Beidou.
“Ahem… I have no interest in being a grandmaster of anything.”
Go to the ruins long forsaken, then follow the clues in the poem to look for the treasure.
“Is it worth a lot of Mora?”
Read the note.
“So, it’s the dying wish of a man who met a tragic fate.”

To the Rightful Owner, Returned

Go to the wooden house by the sea, and watch things play out.

Ending 5: Between Us

Make these choices to arrive at this ending.

Go to a quiet spot to talk details with Beidou.
“Is there a great demonic presence in the area?”
“I wouldn’t say I’m the best treasure hunter of all time… only the best to date.”
“I think it’s Qingce Village, just very badly drawn.”
“Qingce Village has a lot of terraced land, which seems to match the contour lines on this map.”

Qingce Village Treasure Hunt

Go to Qingce Village to talk to Granny Ruoxin.
“I think Ji is innocent. He can’t control where the finches make their nests.”
Talk to Ren.
“I don’t think it’s fair for Pops Xing to suffer over this.”
Talk to Changping and Defu.
“I know a legal expert. I think she is better suited to handling this kind of stuff.”

Honorary Villager

Wait until nighttime (21:00 to 24:00), and then take part in the village banquet. Chat with everyone, and look around, and when you’re ready go meet Beidou by the waterwheel.
